WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY ||Â LUXURY DESTINATION WEDDING IN CANCUN, MEXICO
CARLOS & SENDELL
From Tulum to the calm waters of Playa del Carmen and the vibrant city of Cancun, the Riviera Maya is one of Mexico’s hottest wedding destinations. It is the perfect location to host a lavish and luxurious destination wedding ceremony in the land of Maya. Carlos and Sendell chose Riviera Maya to renew their vows in two stunning ceremonies that left everyone speechless. The Riviera Maya in Mexico, rich in history, and full of swimming holes galore, is a beautiful region home to ancient ruins and some of the best beaches of the Caribbean. Carlos and Sendell decided to renew their vows on their 10th anniversary. They chose Mayakoba, Andaz for their destination wedding in Cancun celebrations, an eco-destination that sits in a paradise of freshwater canals, mangroves, and lagoons. Their wedding celebration was very festive, filled with their friends and family. A golf trip and cigars kick-started the wedding celebrations for what would be an unforgettable experience for the couple and their families and friends. A Traditional Catholic Wedding Filled with RosesThe first ceremony was a traditional Catholic and very emotional. The couple shared the Communion Cup and renew their promises to each other in the eyes of God. The intimacy and family warmth created such a warm atmosphere and set the tone for the rest of the evening. After the ceremony followed a magnificent wedding dinner and party. Decorated to perfection by Nadia Duran the high-end setting featured hot pink and purple florals and gold details, perfectly blending luxury and style in one. A canopy of fairy lights was an ideal place for all the wedding photographs before an extravagant party that lasted till the dawn! A beach Mayan Shamanic Wedding rich in ancient ritualsThe second ceremony was an all-white Mayan shamanic wedding reception on the Mayakoba Andaz’s stunning white sand beach. The fun part? The couple had set a challenge for their wedding planner, to trace down the shaman that had blessed their union 10 years ago. Of course, she aced that, and the couple had the change to renew their spiritual union with the same shaman that witnessed their first love promises years ago. The shaman priest evoked the four elements: water, earth, wind, and fire so that their presence strengthen and bless the union for many years. Finally, the union of the couple was sealed with the exchange of rings. It gave an otherworldly warmth to the experience and introduced guests to the ancient wedding rituals from Mayan culture. A fire ceremony and traditional Mayan customs made it unforgettable for everyone. A luxurious dinner on the beach and dancing followed, making the Mexican night magical. A destination wedding in Cancun; an ongoing party!Carlos and Sendell’s destination wedding in Cancun featured some of the best parties I’ve ever attended. From the never-ending dancing to lively mariachi music, and the incredible food and desserts, it was a celebration that went well into the night, and into the next day! The couple loves a big party and their wedding weekend felt like an ongoing fiesta with their family and friends being at the heart of their Mexican culture wedding experience!
